“Sounds like a jackass. I can be there if you want. You know, just in the background.” He offers, bouncing Katie against his side as she giggles quietly from her mom’s kisses. “Maybe I can be there as a buffer. You know..” He looks down at Katie and smiles and she rests her head on his shoulder. “She’s probably tired. I’ve been making her watch baseball for the last hour. And before that, we worked on my motorcycle.”

Katie yawns on queue and Larry rubs her back soothingly. “So I was thinking.. Maybe Renee could come watch the kids later and we can go to a movie or something..” Larry asks somewhat hesitantly. He wasn’t sure ‘dates’ were in the range of their new reconciliation, but he was hoping they’d be able to do something even if it didn’t involve the intimacy he was looking for. Besides, after a long and extensive work week, a relaxing night out seemed like a good fix.

       “Would probably be a good idea – the two clients spent most of the time arguing with each other… so clearly there’s more there than just a disagreement over business interests, but I don’t know. He just came off as a total t o o l.” Ally states with a rolling of her shoulders, before looking over at Katie and seeing her yawn, a soft chuckle coming effortlessly from her. “Hmm, so she had a busy day – the sleepy expression makes sense then.”

At his suggestion, Ally raises a brow and looks up at him, before letting a light smile splay her lips. “I can ask, I’m sure she’ll be more than happy to come chill with the kiddos for a couple of hours.” The blonde states, while setting her bottle of water down onto the counter and continues to look up at him with a soft expression. “A movie or something sounds like a rather g o o d idea to me.”
