So… my brother’s iPhone and iPod just simultaneously got locked via iCloud/Find my iPhone and was left in said state with a message about “This Device has been locked. Pay 50$ to unlock it email: (whatever email it was)” Which ideally wouldn’t have been a problem, I know how to navigate that kind of stuff, but then when I got into his iCloud account to unlock them, they were set with a passcode that none of us recognized or knew how to change. 

Then the fucker changed the password on his iTunes account, which is only accessible through his email, so clearly his email then got compromised. Okay… at that point I was peeved – so I changed the message on the device to “Fuck you motherfucker, I will locate you and send a porn virus next.” At which point, we got booted from all of that, so I went in and changed every damn password and factory rest his phone so that I could change the password on the email quickly.

After this, the iPod got put on airplane mode, so I couldn’t erase that one … at the end, I ended up manually wiping that shit and I now have a migraine. Now after 2 hours, he has full function of both devices and I have him monitoring his email for any suspicious activity.

Like… wtf man. Poor kid had a panic attack.
