Larry peers over at her through his eyelashes and notices that she has finally finished her food. “Alright, let’s get going. Did you ever check movie times?” He asks, sliding out of the booth and helping her out with ease. He leans down and gives her a solid kiss before taking her hand and letting her lead the way from the diner. Once on the sidewalk, he notes where they are and begins walking toward the movie theater, though he is in no rush and simply strolls pleasantly along with his wife by his side.
“Whatever is playing within the next ten to twenty minutes is fine with me.” Larry checks his watch and tangles their fingers together as he smiles down at her. He knows that she is still severely insecure and he is also aware that it’s entirely his fault. Without delving into such a serious conversation, he isn’t really sure how to wipe away those insecurities. Though, he’s been on the other side of it and he knows exactly what it’s like to think you’re not enough for the person who supposedly loves you. It’s a cruel thing to do to a person but the two of them are somehow so in love with each other that they can look past it on most days.
“… actually, I didn’t, but I think that one movie hit theaters today – Suicide Squad, looked really good when I saw the trailer.” She states with a soft chuckle as she slides slowly out of the booth, and hums quietly, against the feel of his lips pressing f i r m l y against her own. Once she was being led towards the exit of the little restaurant and out onto the sidewalk of the joint, Ally laces their fingers together with a soft chuckle at his furthered comment. “Hopefully they’ve got a showing close to when we get there – though, I don’t really mind, I’m sure there’s plenty of decent movies playing right now.”
As they continue to walk in the direction of the theater, Ally’s attention flicks towards their various surroundings, and then back up at her husband as she chews at the inside of her cheek. She knew that there would never be any way to rid his mind of p l a g u i n g thoughts of self doubt, due to her choices from all those years ago. Though her fresh layer of insecurities were likely to remain just as long, if not longer – not that it was that shocking, given everything. “Hmm, so – I’ll have to remember that place for later dining.”
