The pain in his chest is nearly unbearable as he and Ally clutch onto each other for dear life. “Our son..” he gasps for air that one come as tears drowp into her hair continuously. Another sob tears through his chest and he slowly maneuvers Ally and himself from the floor and into the chairs with his wife in his lap.

Matthew looks up st his uncle, tears welling in his eyes as he sniffles. “Is my brother dead?” He asks bluntly, not wanting to hear the answer but needing to. He has to. He has to know that his brother won’t be around. He’ll never be able to see him again.

Ally’s cries smother any words she might have attempted to get out. It was unbelievable, she half expected to wake up from some horrible nightmare at any moment. She couldn’t understand how this had happened, they’d simply gone to the park, he was laughing and cheerful. Julian had his whole LIFE ahead of him, and that was torn away by the violence of a bunch of cowards. He was innocent, the little boy hadn’t deserved any of this. “He can’t be. Julian.” She sobs, burying her face into Larry’s chest once he’d moved them off of the floor.

The doctor looks down at his nephew, his heart squeezing at the question, before moving to kneel down in front of the little boy. “… yes.” He answers after a lengthy delay, not wanting to believe it himself. “I know this is hard, and right now it’s not going to feel like it but       your brother was a fighter, and even though you can’t SEE him anymore, he will always be with you.” Rob states, before moving to lift Matthew onto his lap, knowing that the little boy had not only lost his brother, but his BEST FRIEND too.
