“I know, baby.” He repeats, unsure of what to say as his own despair overtakes him. How is he supposed to comfort his wife when he feels exactly the way she does? How is he supposed to help her? Larry simply plants his feet to the ground and sinks down to the floor with her, holding her tightly against him.

“It’s not fair. Our son didn’t deserve this.” He chockes out, resting his lips in her hair as he lets his tears flow freely down his face. It was the most overwhelming pain he’d ever felt in his life. When Sam had been injured in his car accident, he had felt something close to this but now with Julian dead.. he feels as though his chest is repeatedly being ripped open, renewing his agony with each breath he takes.

The blonde curls against his chest, her eyes focusing on the floor as she bites firmly down onto her lower lip, in attempts to stifle her sobs. “I keep hoping this is some sick joke… but it’s not.” She states after a minute or two of silence on her part. Ally honestly didn’t feel like she even had the strength to stand from the floor, sure, she knew eventually they’d have to get up       she just didn’t want to. All she wanted to do was curl up into a ball and let the grief swallow her whole, but she also knew that Larry needed her just as much as she needed him.

“I… wish we would have just stayed at the park just a little bit longer. Maybe none of this would have happened…” She says, the tears continuing to roll down her cheeks. There was no way she could have known that those men were going to run out into the middle of the streets with guns, she knew that, just as she knew it wasn’t her fault. But it was her responsibility to protect their children and she had failed, despite all of her efforts, she failed.
