Larry nods into her hair and closes his eyes. “They will.” He says ominously. If he had to hurt them himself, he would. He had no qualms bringing justice to the people who murdered his son. The scum who stole their son. Larry kisses her forehead and tucks her hair behind her ear. “We’ll make sure they never see the light of day again.”
After another few silent moments, he finally pulls away from her and stands from the floor, pulling her up with him. He cracks the door open and nods to Rob. “Um.. what are we supposed to do now?” Larry clears his throat and grasps Ally’s hand in his in a sad attempt at reassurance.
Rob looks over at Larry, before clearing his throat and stands from the chair that he’d been sitting in. “Well ” he pauses, the doctors eyes flicking towards Ally, before bringing a hand up to rub his face absently. “The coroner will do his thing, and then I’ll call you so we can make arrangements to … have him transported to the funeral home.” Rob finishes, his brows furrowing with difficulty. He was used to answering these questions, though usually he was answering them with strangers, not family.
The blonde, surprisingly, keeps her face steady though within her being she was falling apart. At Rob’s words, the grip she had on Larry’s hand tightens, and she has to clear her throat; eyes fixating on the floor as she nods. “Okay…” Ally croaks out after a moment or two. Rob didn’t have to continue for her to fill in the dots once Julian was transported to the funeral home, then they had to prepare for his memorial and then burial. Neither of which she was fully capable of processing at the moment.
