Once his face is smooth and clean, he brushes his teeth quickly and heads into the closet to dress himself for the day. He pulls on a pair of dark, fitted jeans, a black t-shirt, and a red, multi-colored flannel. He laces up his shoes and puts on a watch, the thoughtless routine ending with him traipsing down the stairs to be near his wife. He sees that she’s on the phone with Nathan and stands behind her as she relays the news to him.

His arms snake around her, giving her as much comfort as he can offer at the moment, and resting his chin against her shoulder. He kisses her temple and keeps her pressed gently against his chest. “It’s alright, baby.” He says softly. He knew it was difficult to tell anyone about their son. Hell, he didn’t even know who else he had to tell aside from Sam. But he knew it would be no worse than hearing the news himself.

Her eyes close when she feels Larry come up behind her, a sigh passing her lips as she leans back against him, and nods as she drops a hand down to rest atop of his arm. Nathan, for the most part, was speechless. The shock of the news had clearly left him rattled and wanting to know how it was possible, though Ally didn’t have it in her to fully recap at the moment, so she relayed what she could. After a few heartfelt condolences and promises to be there if she needed him, the blonde hangs up the phone.

Ally sets the phone down onto the counter, the lump that had formed in the back of her throat becoming painful at that point as she idly stares at the counter. Her eyes glazed over as she shakes her head, her free hand moving up to cover her eyes as she lets out a few heavy breaths. “Nathan asked me to relay his deepest condolences to you…” She says after a few minutes of silence, though her voice sounded strained, and weak.
