He felt as though he was in some kind of limbo between learning of his son’s death and planning his funeral. How were they supposed to go about their daily business? What were they supposed to do with their day? With a sigh, he scratches the back of his head and takes another sip of his coffee. As the steaming drink warms his fingertips, he looks around their house.

“We just do some work. Just to keep busy.” He didn’t feel right about doing that either. The only thing that he really felt like doing was sitting quietly. He barely had the energy to stand at this point, let alone the motivation to do much else. “I feel like we trapped in some kind of terrible nightmare.” Larry laments, taking another sip from his coffee. What do people do when a loved one dies?

Ally nods at the suggestion, before clearing her throat. “I mean, we could…” She responds. Though even if they attempted it, she wasn’t quite sure how much work she’d actually get done. She’d probably end up staring blankly and allowing her thoughts to get the best of her. There was just so much they could do. With a sigh, she brings her lips back up to her lips, draining a decent portion of the coffee in one large gulp.

“I’m probably going to try to lay down until Katie gets up… which won’t be for a few more hours.” She states with a slight rolling of her shoulders. All she was doing was grasping at straws. There wasn’t much else that she could think of. After a few more sips of her coffee, the blonde walks over to the sink to rinse out her mug, before drying it off and setting it near the coffee pot for later use.
