Larry follows his wife from their house silently as he fishes his keys from his pocket and unlocks the doors. Once they reach his car, he opens the passenger side door for her and kisses her forehead gingerly. He waits for her to situate herself in the car before shutting her door and climbing in on his side. Larry stsrtsbthe car swiftly and pulls onto the road with ease.

The car ride is relatively silent, his thoughts drifting and the dread looming over him preparing to consume him at any moment. This was not how he wanted to spend his day. The entire situation was morbid and unfair and he absolutely hates that they have to do it. Once he pulls up to the funeral home, he shuts off the car but makes no move to enter.

Everything seemed to go at warped speed. One minute she was standing in their driveway and then the next, they were parked in front of the funeral home. Her mind had been traveling at insane speeds so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that she’d completely blocked out the drive from point a to point b. Once he’d parked the car, the blonde stares up at the building, her body feeling as if it was weighted down by a couple tons.

“I’d give anything for a time machine right about now…” She murmurs, mostly to herself. The blonde sighs, before glancing over at her husband as she reaches over to take his hand. There was zero effort on her part to move, and from what she could tell, the same could be said for Larry as well. Ally swallows thickly, before clearing her throat as she reaches down to unbuckle her seatbelt. “One step at a time.” She murmurs.
