He lumbers into the kitchen and leans against the counter, crossing his arms over his chest as he peers over at her. “You doing okay?” He asks, though he knows the answer. The best they could do was push forward and not let this situation destroy them. Though that feat seemed near impossible, he’d try nonetheless to at least give his support to Ally. “I mean, obviously neither of us are. But..”

He sighs and rubs the tension from his face, shuffling his way over to her and standing between her legs. He rests his forehead against her as his arms encase her in a firm hug. “I really want a drink right now.” He admits. Given his history with alcohol abuse, he knew he would never truly act on his desires, but the impulse was still there no matter how hard he fought it. But now was not the time to fall off the wagon.

“I’m doing about as well as to be expected right now…” She responds, before moving her arms to wrap them loosely around him as well. Ally could definitely understand his desire to drink, though she also knew that he’d struggled to get his alcoholism under control, and she hoped that he’d refrain from going there. Even if he had tried to act upon it, Ally had gone through the house and purged it of every stash Larry had, even his secret ones.

“I know…” Ally states, her eyes falling closed. Despite the lack of strength she felt, she’d continued to lend whatever she had left to Larry. The loss of Julian was something that they’d need every ounce of support that they could get. “A year or so ago, you wouldn’t have even told me that… so despite everything, there is something positive, even if it doesn’t seem like it.”
