“Alright, well I’ll go grab us some food and figure out what to get for the kids.” He says through a long, deep exhale. He was tired and his sagging posture and sunken eyes made that more evident when combined with the exhaustion in his features. He leans up and gives her a gentle kiss before turning to head back to his office to grab his things. Larry snatches up hosnkeys, wallet, and phone before heading out the door once again.

As he pulls out of the garage, his mind wanders and he soon finds himself at a local sandwich shop that they frequent. Instead of going inside immediately, he sits for nearly an hour, staring unseeingly at the sandwich shop. The last time he’d gone to get sandwiches for the family, Julian hand volunteered to go with him. His chest heaves with great, gasping breaths and he grips the steering wheel to keep himself stable.

Ally refrains from any movement until he’d left the house. With a heavy sigh, she slides slowly off the counter, the movement being met with resistant from her aching body as she wraps her arms around her torso; as if to hold herself together. “Okay… I can do this.” She murmurs, before heading upstairs as she scratches behind her ear, and heads directly towards Katie’s bedroom. Just as she’d assumed, Renee was sitting in the corner of the room in the rocking chair, reading over something on her phone. Upon Ally’s entrance, she looks up and informs her that Katie was up earlier, and that she’d fed her already.

Once she had gone over and was convinced that Katie didn’t need much of anything, the blonde thanks Renee for coming over, and tells her that she’d text her with details on Julian’s funeral later. She didn’t want to talk about it much, which Renee understood, given the hug the woman had given her on her way out of the house. A few minutes pass as she listens to Katie’s light breathing, before the blonde heads out into the hallway in search of Matthew.
